In September 1999, he joined the children’s channel Canal J to present Le JTJ (Youth TV News) every night of the week at 7:50 p.m., alternating with Élizabeth Tchoungui. Following a serious motorcycle accident in 2000, he left the presentation of JTJ, which Canal J removed from the air a few months later. After passing through Série Club, he joined the regional branch of France 3 Limousin-Poitou-Charentes, then the national branch.
